It's Freaky Friday time once more! This time, it is our yearly virtual treats trade and I am so eager to share this cheesecake bar formula from Hostess on a fundamental level with you all! Ingredients :
- 2/3 cup butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 16 ounces cream cheese
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions :
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter with brown sugar. Add in walnuts and flour and mix until the dough comes together.
- Transfer all but 1/2 cup to the bottom of a 9x13" pan and press it evenly on the bottom. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until it has lightly browned.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add in eggs, milk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
- Spread cheesecake filling on top of the crust and sprinkle the crumb topping on top. Bake for 25 minutes.
- Cool before cutting the bars.
